After the transmission of my manuscript from my PC
to the media as a book!!! |
Almost
Submerged in Someone is my debut novel which was published online in the month
of October, 2014 by Partridge, A Penguin Random House Company. Publishing a
book was not my intention, but just a dream that came true. I started working on
this fiction in the year 2011. This novel consists of 344 pages, which tells a love
story of Roshen Samuel and Jessie Joseph. It is based on teenage romance that
shows trust love and hope. The familiarity of thoughts and places make the
story more comforting and easy for the readers to imagine it throughout.
Moreover, there is this suspense in the story that what will happen to the
relationship of Jessie and Roshen, is quiet frustrating that readers will have
the eagerness till the end of the book. The story starts from meeting a
gorgeous and continues throughout with passionate romance with the insecurities
of life as a teenager.
The
main characters of this novel is Roshen Samuel and his girlfriend Jessie
Joseph. Manju comes into the story as Roshen’s ex-girlfriend. Kishore, Suresh,
Roopa and Joyal are Roshen’s friends. Suresh is a friend whom Roshen meets on
the first day in the hostel. Apart from Suresh, the rest are his good old
friends, right from his school days. When
Manju come in-between Roshen and Jessie’s life, the story takes a different
phase where it tells how Jessie handles the situation with ‘trust’.
When Roshen has to face the obstacle while Jessie leaves India and decides to
move to America, with her father for the rest of her life, the story moves in a
different way where Roshen simply waits for Jessie with a ‘hope’ that she would be back even after
knowing his past relationship with Manju. On the other hand the story portraits
the love from different angles; when Manju still wants Roshen back, Roshen
loves Jessie blindly and Jessie trusts Roshen so much. The
epilogue shows what happens to Roshen after three long years. Along
with, it also reveals what happens to the rest of the characters, towards the
very end of the story.Will
Roshen take back Manju whom he broke up with once, or will he never leaves a
girlfriend like Jessie.

'There
is a letter that Roshen receives from Jessie that will take him to know more on
what Jessie has to tell him through an e-mail from her.' This will make readers
feel more anxious what decision will Roshen take in his life after reading her
letter and the mail. The photo on the cover page shows this particular letter
sent by Jessie. This novel has humour with suspense and various emotions
involved in it.
I
recently started writing a new book, which is titled “No More Faith in You”. It is
the flashback of Almost Submerged in Someone. In the story, I am planning to
elaborate the past life of Roshen Samuel with Manju and the story behind their
break-up, which is not mentioned in the first novel (his ex-girlfriend in
Almost Submerged in Someone).
I
always love to write fictions and enjoy creative writing a lot. Photography,
drawing, reading, and travelling are my other interests apart from writing.
Being an author, I want to continue writing romance fiction until I find a new
taste in any other genre. Anyway, I like to do something that only I am
confident with.

The books in my library, that I red in the
beginning of all. |
Why
I chose fiction is because I love creating characters and I could enjoy the
freedom of using my fictional characters in what all ways I want. In the
journey of my first book, the support I got from my family, relatives, cousins,
publisher, friends and teachers are the finest reason why my book is now
available all around the globe.
The
dreams of publishing strike my mind when I saw the books written by young
authors on my bookshelf and it changed my perception towards the world of publishing.
Seeing that, I felt to get my book too on my bookshelf. The young authors who
inspired me include Durjoy Datta and Nikita Sing. I also have red and enjoyed many
more books by Ravinder Sing, Chetan Bhagat, Preeti Shenoy and several other
authors. The feedbacks that I got from those whom I gave my manuscript to read,
has acted as a good motivation for me and it gave me the confidence to publish
the book worldwide and launch it into the market.
